Ed wins poster prize at the NSFC-RSC Symposium
Ed Richmond has won a poster prize at the 2nd NSFC-RSC International Symposium on Emerging Frontiers in Organic Synthesis, held earlier this week at Burlington House in London. The symposium showcased top speakers from China and the UK. Way to go, Ed!

Jean-Pierre Sauvage wins 2016 Nobel Prize in Chemistry!
Congratulations to friend and senior colleague Jean-Pierre Sauvage for being a co-recipient of the 2016 Nobel Prize in Chemistry! He received the award jointly with Prof. Fraser Stoddart and Prof. Ben Feringa for the development of molecular machines. Jean-Pierre becomes the third Nobel Laureate in Chemistry at our institute! Our first paper from our collaboration with the Ebbesen group describing how strong coupling to the vacuum field can be exploited to change the rate of chemical reactions has been accepted for publication in Angewandte Chemie. Congrats to all who participated from the Ebbesen group and to Marian and Sreejith from our group!
