Noemi and Bora’s paper on using the electric fields generated during electrospray to catalyze a nonenzymatic analogue of pyridoxal vitamer biosynthesis has been published in the Journal of the American Chemical Society. The latest example supporting our hypothesis that a nonenzymatic precursor to metabolism could have originated at an aqueous interface bearing a strong electric field. Congrats!
