Welcome to Stefania Musolino, who joins us for three months from Andrew Smith‘s and James Taylor‘s labs in St Andrews funded by an RSC Mobility grant.
Three Nobel Laureates speak in Strasbourg
Jean-Pierre Sauvage, James Fraser Stoddart and Bernard Feringa, all co-recipients of the 2016 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, gave back-to-back-to-back talks in Strasbourg. Joseph had the pleasure of introducing Jean-Pierre! You can watch the event online.

Ed wins poster prize at the NSFC-RSC Symposium
Ed Richmond has won a poster prize at the 2nd NSFC-RSC International Symposium on Emerging Frontiers in Organic Synthesis, held earlier this week at Burlington House in London. The symposium showcased top speakers from China and the UK. Way to go, Ed!

Dr. Marian Dryzhakov
Congrats to Marian Dryzhakov on successfully defending his thesis! He is the second PhD student to graduate from the group. After a few weeks more in the lab to submit papers, Marian will join Prof. Makoto Fujita’s lab at the University of Tokyo as a JSPS postdoctoral fellow.

Marian wins a JSPS Fellowship
Congratulations to PhD student Marian Dryzhakov, who has received a fellowship from JSPS to conduct postdoctoral research with Prof. Makoto Fujita at the University of Tokyo.
